It has been over three years since the Corsair Scimitar mouse received its last update in the form of the RGB Elite (which itself was an update of the Pro RGB). The popular go-to mouse for MMOs and MOBAs has finally received the update we have all been waiting for: it’s saying goodbye to its cord.
The Scimitar Elite Wireless is, as the name implies, completely wireless. It’s the next in an ongoing initiative to bring more of Corsair’s models into the wireless era, although it certainly feels like this particular transition has been a painfully long wait. That’s likely due to how limited quality MMO/MOBA gaming mice are compared to other variants, like those built around the FPS genre.
So what comes packaged in this revised Scimitar? Here’s the rundown from Corsair themselves:
- Slipstream Wireless enables you to play at sub-1ms speeds, with ultra-fast 2,000Hz hyper-polling
- Play up to 150 hours on a single charge (over Bluetooth with RGB off), and fully recharge in 90 minutes or less
- The raid never stops as you connect instantly to any system, via 2.4Gz Slipstream Wireless, Bluetooth, or USB wired to play while you game.
- Assign and perform every action and macro you need on 16 easy-to-reach, fully programmable buttons
- Repositionable 12-button Key Slider puts all side panel buttons in the ideal spot for your thumb
- The iconic contoured shape lets you fend off strain over long periods of play
- The ultra-accurate Corsair Marksman 26,000 DPI optical sensor captures every movement, adjustable in single DPI steps
The Scimitar Elite Wireless mouse is available now for $129.99 solely through the Corsair website at the time of writing, but it should become available via other outlets in the near future.
