Digimon Story Time Stranger is free from DRM, although you still cannot own it because physical media is being used to just download the code of the game. We live in this kind of future, and we are accelerating towards technocracy at a rapid pace if we don’t do anything about it. Thankfully, skilled people can take advantage of this and get their hands in the game via other means provided they have access to PC. As for console players, you are out of luck, you have to subjugate yourself to the will of tech companies who push for the lack of ownership.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is unshackled
Now the game won’t be lost media if Denuvo manages to die, yet the battle is still ongoing against tech giants who want to go against the freedoms of people. Much to the like of the lore of the game, and the franchise as a whole, it is always people who bring change to these aspects that affect us directly. If we keep fighting we stand a chance against any sort of problem, as long as everyone remains united for one goal. Digimon Story Time Stranger is a great JRPG more people should check out if they miss turn based games.
Digimon as a franchise has been evolving for years, and it is crazy to see how it is about to reach its 30th anniversary in a few months. To this day it still remains a strong monster franchise that respects the intelligence of those who are into it, unlike a certain yellow mouse one coming from Nintendo. While the DRM has been removed from Digimon Story Time Stranger, I don’t think its a good idea to find the game somewhere else unless you consider it too expensive, this is the moment to bring competition the the monster taming genre.
