Half Grip looks insane, and its a new indie PC game coming to the stores in 2026, the new trailer for gameplay showcases something I’ve never seen before. Instead of just ramming your vehicle to destroy others, you are just pulling the big guns from the drivers space and blasting all of them away. I thought that Road Rash was going to be the only game to do something like this, but no, this is a more radical and cool version of that game if you ask me. Whatever gets in your way, just blast them apart so they don’t get to see another lap.
Half Grip looks awesome
The concept is pretty innovative, and people keep claiming that making new games and ideas is something impossible. Yet, we can see new things popping up here and there provided we look for them, I can’t wait to see what kinds of experiments the team will pull up with this. Half Grip also gives you the ability to modify your ride with multiple things from cosmetics to other parts that can improve your runs. Now, I know people are tired of Roguelikes and Roguelites but this here feels like a very novel concept.
We really don’t know when Half Grip will come, aside from the fact that the Steam Store lists it as a 2026. Hopefully there is no delays with this one, but if there needs to be some done to ensure the quality of the game is top notch then I won’t be disappointed. Considering the concept of this game is so complex and interesting, I really want to ensure that the team behind it can find the goldilocks zone when it comes to execution. Because if they fail the execution part, then the whole concept might just be regarded as bad.
