In an unexpectedly delightful turn of events, the pre-order date for GTA 6, easily the most anticipated videogame of all time, has been leaked by Best Buy and is scheduled to go live on May 18 which is just a few days from now. As it’s just been reported, many people on the internet have claimed to receive an affiliate email from Best Buy which turned out to be about GTA 6 pre-order campaign and makes the 18th May date pretty much confirmed.
And if GTA 6 pre-orders officially starts from that day, it does negate possibilities of any further delay which is great for everyone. But as neither Rockstar nor Take-Two Interactive has announced anything yet, you may think it’d be best to probably take the news with a grain of salt but according to Insider Gaming, the emails are indeed real which means the scheduled release date of November 19 is too.
The affiliate emails first originated from Impact, which is currently one of the leading affiliate partner marketplaces and if you have an Impact account yourself and have also signed up to receive affiliate orders from Best Buy, chances are you have also received one of those emails.
But more importantly, if the pre-orders for GTA 6 starts only a few days from now, it means we’re also getting closer than ever for a third trailer for the upcoming open world behemoth, along with a gameplay video as well cause at this point we all know that the world is going to be bigger and denser in every possible way and will blow the socks off all other open world titles to have ever existed, but what we haven’t seen yet is just how the general third person gameplay has been advanced and refined over the previous titles from Rockstar.
GTA 6 is slated to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
