Warcraft 3 Reforged just got worse, and this happened right after the new expansion got announced. The game already suffered through severe controversies, such as the fact that you don’t own the mods you make, along with many other issues. The original Warcraft trilogy for older systems still remains one of the best games to play, there really is no reason for people to be playing these releases on PC since you can just get an older OS and play them that way. Warcraft is a very interesting game, although not as interesting as Starcraft, and it comes from an era where Blizzard cared about things.
Warcraft 3 Reforged gets worse
The fact that things get even worse with this game is simply baffling, but we are speaking about Blizzard here, the company who relegated some of their gems into the mobile gaming market. They have done terrible choices for a long while now and this one isn’t that different. The only difference is that now, the removal of LAN gameplay will affect our capacity to own the game. Now we need to connect to an always online system and that will cause many issues for everyone playing the game.
Warcraft 3 Reforged is also plagued with a plethora of issues not found in the original game, so if you care about playing something that is good you should be playing the original ones. I feel like the only time Blizzard did a good job at remaking something, that was definitely when Diablo 2’s remake came out, that was insane. Alas, a broken clock can be right twice a day, and this proves to be true for most big companies nowadays that do something good. Warcraft 3 Reforged will remain the worst way to play a classic unless you get it via other means.
