Moss: The Forgotten Relic is the latest entry in the Moss series, who happened to be very popular indie games on PC back in the day. We aren’t sure this will be the final entry on the series, but it definitely does not seem to be a sequel at least in the numerical sense. We only know that it will be dropping on Steam in 2026 but still don’t have enough info about when exactly will that happen, we can only assume it will be in some months from now. Moss: The Forgotten Relic does look a bit different to the usual Moss games, and that might because we will explore a new dimension of gameplay.
Moss: The Forgotten Relic is coming
Indie games are the lifeblood of the industry, and its amazing to see how varied the medium can be as each developer gives their two cents in how things should be made. Sometimes there’s cool stuff, sometimes there’s derivatives, but I feel like the Moss series has managed to create something endearing with all the elements developers had at the time. It seems that each game took around 4 years to be developed, and each one of them seem to be well liked by the community behind them, they truly are a work of art.
This is a series of puzzle games with very clever ways to solve things, so for those who enjoy a challenge and want to try something new, I highly recommend to get into the Moss series cause it offers something different and charming. This third entry in the Moss series will keep being a puzzle game, but it does feel like it will bring some new things with Moss: The Forgotten Relic, another thing to bring attention to is the fact that this was originally a VR game, and one of the few VR games that mattered.
