Developer CD Projekt RED has brought in 60 plus new developers for their upcoming The Witcher 4 along with the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, as confirmed by the company’s latest earnings report which reveals that the Polish studio currently has 799 employees working on it’s various projects that include the highly anticipated The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.

Of course looking at both The Witcher 4 and the sequel to the seminal Cyberpunk 2077 which are both colossal projects that deserve every bit of resource as they can possibly get, the added number of developers in the studio seems perfectly natural. This also indicates CD Projekt RED’s uncompromising commitment towards making both of their upcoming projects as phenomenal as they possibly can, which would be great for all fans of these titles.

The Witcher 4 remains the primary focus of the studio with over half the total amount of resources dedicated to the project as over 400 devs are currently working on it. The Cyberpunk sequel has also seen a significant rise in terms of developers allotted to it as a total of 116 devs are reported to work on the project.

Being made in the Unreal Engine 5, The Witcher 4 is also supposed to push the envelope of realism in videogame visuals far more than what’s possible right now and so it’s fair to assume that a part of the overall workforce has been allocated to this area.

The Witcher 4 currently doesn’t have a release date and is not expected before 2027 at least, but CD Projekt have showcased a tech demo featuring several graphical and gameplay-related features that’s going to make their ways to the final game. And even if you’re not a fan of the series, you should still watch it cause it shows The Witcher 4 is all set to push the boundaries of videogames as we know it, in more ways than one.
