Cyberpunk 2077

Developer CD Projeckt RED has recently posted a rather cryptic message on their X/ Twitter account which hints at something new related to Cyberpunk 2077 coming on September 4, which is just 2 days away. The post is in the form of a notice issued by the N.U.S.A. which is the fictional Government in Cyberpunk 2077’s World, alerting everyone about an imminent ‘mounting cybersecurity threat’ in Night City and urgently requires the aid of ‘netrunners’ for neutralizing it.

And while a lot of theories point towards the possibility of the polish studio referring to cybersecurity-related job vacancies opening up in the near future, it seems unlikely cause there’s no job listings from the devs at all which would’ve happened if that were the case. Also, the most curious aspect of the post is the date of September 4 which points at something unexpected and new being revealed on that day, perhaps.

Some players also believe it’s about a brand new season for Edgerunners while others think it’s something related to Phantom Liberty, the one and only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. But whatever it may eventually turn out to be, the good thing is we don’t have to wait much longer for it to be revealed, so there’s that.

In other news of the game, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 which was earlier known as Project Orion, has now entered the pre-production stage of development while the actual game is expected to arrive after 2030 and beyond. The studio has also recently hired over 60 new developers for both Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4, indicating CD Projekt RED’s uncompromising commitment towards making both of their upcoming projects as phenomenal as they possibly can, which would be great for all fans of these titles.

But all eyes are now on the Studio’s upcoming epic fantasy RPG The Witcher 4 which recently showcased a stunning tech demo featuring several new elements of Unreal Engine 5, all of which will be implemented in the game to make it push new technological boundaries and create a level of realism that’s never been seen in videogames so far.
