How to Defeat Fajar in Sifu 1

The hardest thing about Sifu is it comes hard and fast. Even if most things can be brute-forced, you can only do this so many times before you can’t progress any further. This can make some of the content intimidating, even more so if you want to try for the trophy Scareless and Prodigal Child, which all starts with beating Fajar.

How to Defeat Fajar in Sifu

Set Up

Before worrying about Fajar, I strongly suggest unlocking Strong Sweep Focus and Snap Kick. Both have a lot of value against Fajar and don’t require a massive investment.

Prior to entering the fight, I do suggest grabbing a pipe from the hanger (there is one to the left under the stairs and another on the table before leaving). From there, when the large guy asks you a question, you want to answer it and then hit them before turning hostile for an instant takedown. Focus on one of the two enemies, swap the pipe for the bamboo, beat the other, and then take the pipe. There is also a dragon statue before leaving, which might not help but will heal you.

Fajar – Phase One

This fight always starts with Fajar doing a leaping kick towards you. There are two ways to deal with it. The intended way is to hold guard and prepare for an upward attack or if you’re not confident in your timing when it comes at you dodge. If you don’t counter it, there will be a follow-up kick which will give you a brief window to punish him. Smack Fajar with the pipe until he blocks, followed by using the Strong Sweep Focus and then doing a downed attack. If done correctly, this will immediately stun him again allowing you some extra pipe hits.

After this, try to bait him into doing the leaping kick and punish it until the takedown prompts appear.

Fajar – Phase Two

You’ll be transported to another place where Fajar leaps out of a bamboo field. This works exactly like the kick, though does a lot more damage if you mess up. The best tactic for this fight is to run around and find bamboo on the ground. These can be used to weapon Fajar and make the fight go a lot faster. From here, play smart, use your focus attacks and you’ll eventually win.

How to Get the Wood Talisman

This is done by defeating their first phase, bringing their second phase to a takedown, letting it expire, and then doing it again. The second time there will be a different input that gives a new cutscene, unlocks their talisman, and gives a trophy. Getting them all also gives the true end, another trophy, and more.

Fajar has so much health this shouldn’t be an issue and will come with relative ease.

If you’re still stuck, here is a video showcasing the strategy.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
