Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade 12

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 Reveal Coming This Year… Maybe

Final Fantasy VII Remake finally made good on an old PlayStation 3 tech demo by releasing Part 1 in 2020. As we near the two-year mark without Part 2, and the 25th anniversary of FFVII, many are left wondering when exactly we will see the highly-anticipated continuation of the iconic adventure.

Fortunately, we now have some news on when we can expect actual news on Part 2. A report from VGC states the original Final Fantasy VII director, Yoshinori Kitase, has confirmed the reveal of the next portion of the remake will be included in the 25th-anniversary celebrations… possibly. VGC translated Yoshinori’s comments during a related event, wherein he provided the following update:

We are hard at work on Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, so please look forward to that. In addition, with regards to the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake [Part 2]… there will be more information… this year if we can.

When questioned further on the matter, specifically if 2022 would definitively be the year we see an official reveal of Part 2, Yoshinori said to look out for that info drop “within the next 12 months.” It’s all a bit vague, and possibly frustrating, but at least we know that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 details are likely to reach us before we enter 2023.

We will have the announcement ready for your reading pleasure when it arrives, so check back regularly.
