RAM supplies have been drained for 2027 by “AI” data centers

RAM

RAM is pretty much made of unobtanium, at least that’s how “AI” companies want it to be. PC gaming is in shambles thanks to these news, and if you were planning to build something in 2027, forget about it. It’s not the time to be thinking about building PCs, but about finding solutions to the problems that affect all of us, sometimes the solution can be a bit drastic. Going back to old systems might be the best thing to do at this point, but at the same time one has to remember these data centers don’t really staff people. Which proves to be quite convenient for the average folk.

RAM is gone next year

RAM is going through some insane prices right now, and it makes no sense to actually get your hands on some sticks, of course this is affecting newer hardware, old hardware still remains cheap if you know where to look. Considering how the landscape of media is looking so far, coming from the hands of big developers, then it does not really matter. Games become more unoptimized, they also end up being lacking and huge empty worlds too, sometimes if they are bold enough to spit in your face they will use “AI” assets.

There’s nothing that is worth it coming from the hands of these companies anymore, and the only ones that support us are indie developers. There is a ton of games out there too, both old and new, that are waiting for people to play them, games never really age wrong unless they are trying to stick to some trend. Realistic games from back then for example look pretty off nowadays, but a good arcade game from the 80s still remains a good game today. If you don’t see what you like, you can also start making stuff yourself that runs in something that does not consume so much RAM.
