Subnautica 2 might not be a massive success yet, but it was good enough to bleed Krafton for a nice chunk of cash they will definitely miss. A new update has been released that brings a ton of changes to the game and fixes many of the issues it had on launch too. This is huge for people who was considering getting into it and explore more of what the depths have to offer, as this 1.1 version carries with it a hefty chunk of Quality of Life changes that will make the experience much better for novice divers who want to see what this craze is all about.
Subnautica 2 gets better
Out of all quality of life changes, FOV sliders are a thing that the game lacked but now it does, this is a very obvious feature to include in games, and it also speaks about how bad things would have gone if Subnautica 2 released as a full game like Krafton wanted. A good game can release only once, there is nothing that can fix the bad impression left by a 1.0 release that is meant to be finished but in reality its just a proof of concept.
Considering the technology we have nowadays, it is inexcusable to just get concept games coming from the hands of big companies anymore. Especially nowadays because a ton of games just like that soul and punch that older games carried despite sometimes ending as a mess people remember as some black sheep of a forgotten series. Back in the day it was clear that love was put into the medium, and new things came out from that love. Nowadays creatives are warring a battle against executives at any turn, because executives only want max profits for the lowest quality possible.
