Xbox is pretty much on the verge of insanity, cutting people left and right from various studios, some less known, and others legendary. id Software is known to be the studio that made DOOM, and now they are pretty much dead despite being one of the most important forces in gaming. Others like Double Fine managed to survive by going indie, and now Obsidian, while suffering some cuts, is being used to renew the efforts on a new Fallout game. This is pretty much betting everything on the success of this next Fallout entry, putting all eggs in one basket.
Xbox has one chance
And they are focusing pretty much all resources into it, this new Fallout game is either a massive hit or a massive flop, no normal results are allowed. Personally, considering all of the damage Xbox and Microsoft has caused to the gaming industry by merely existing, it would be neat for this to be a massive flop. We have to remember that they have recently cut down at the very least 4000 workers from multiple studios, ruining their livelihoods. We shouldn’t let the sacrifices of many go in vain, in fact, games are so expensive right now and so bad, why even pay Microslop for a guaranteed pile of bugs?
People however seem to still keep consuming a bit from the green company and they don’t let go despite the fact that Microsoft does not care about them. It is impressive how terrible Xbox has become and how it still lives, it is also quite funny that they believe they have 25 years more into the future. It will be insane if they live after 2027 at most, they might probably die before 2026 ends considering how badly things are going for them and the gaming industry as a whole.
