Bandai Namco Details Bleach Mirrors High Ahead of Summer Beta

Bandai Namco has unveiled extensive new gameplay and character details for Bleach Mirrors High, offering fans a comprehensive look at the upcoming free-to-play mobile game ahead of its closed beta phase later this month.

The upcoming title differentiates itself from recent franchise adaptations by following a fully customizable Soul Reaper through an original storyline set after the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. While series creator Tite Kubo has designed three new original characters for the game—Naru Jurinna, Giro Hando, and Maiko Tokishima—he has also noted that this narrative connects directly to the original manga, though its official canon status remains unconfirmed.

In terms of mechanical depth, combat in the new title centers around a three-character squad rotation driven by tactical Action Cards. Players will chain abilities to execute animated individual Mortal Blows, coordinated Link Attacks, and massive team-based Soul Drive finishes. This card-driven flow aims to deliver a highly strategic layer to the traditional character action formula, paving the way for competitive player-versus-player modes that Bandai Namco plans to flesh out closer to the final release.

Outside of combat, the game heavily emphasizes player agency through robust customization systems. Users can completely alter their protagonist’s physical appearance, including hair, face shape, eyes, and body type, while also forging a personalized Zanpakuto by selecting its blade, hilt, guard, aesthetic decorations, and overarching fighting style. These custom avatars will fight alongside a robust roster of iconic franchise mainstays, such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and Renji Abarai.

A closed beta test is scheduled to run from July 22 through July 29 for 20,000 pre-registered Android and iOS users, serving as the final major trial before the full version launches later in 2026.
