Valve mentions Steam Machine price is due to RAM in 2026

As expected by many, the Steam Machine flopped and Valve is now explaining why that’s the case and they mentioned that companies who produce RAM will ignore them if they don’t agree with the prices. This is a huge blow for Valve, and fans are now rightfully blaming “AI”. This is true, because the prices only happened when development started for these massive models that are consuming all resources to produce nothing of value, and we are paying the price. Gamers are a dying breed until things get better, cause these prices will enrage anyone regardless of why they happen.

Valve explains the situation

Supply shortage has hit Valve in a very bad way, as the original price of the Steam Machine was meant to be $750. Sadly, “AI” ruins everything, even from its inception it was already causing big problems in many sectors, yet the madness does not seem to stop. But there is hope, the bubble is starting to burst and stocks are starting to fall, not to mention that people are also waking up to the lie that is generative “AI” and how many problems it has. As more people realize the truth, the faith based economy will just collapse in itself.

There is a future ahead of us, and it will be defined based on what we do and what we don’t people need to pick wisely, and it seems like the choice is going back to what worked. When something isn’t broken, it does not need to be fixed, and for the price of $1049 it feels like people are better off staying with their old PCs. There is no reason to do this upgrade, as it barely manages to stay behind the PS5, so the best move one can do is wait and not play.
