Paralives is a huge hit, as evidenced by recent sales numbers, there’s no reason to actually buy more games from the Sims series considering the team behind this game just made the formula better. Not to mention that the fact that EA Games is being destroyed by the Saudi Arabia investment and “AI” is causing people to just abandon that mega company. There’s nothing good coming from the anymore, and as there is no other game like this in the market Paralives is just cornering everything for themselves. Honestly, for the kind of effort put into the game they truly deserve it.

It just sold 1 million copies while still being in early access, which is a crazy feet not many game manage to pull off. There is a ton of games out there nowadays, more than what people can play, so it is crazy to see yet another success story surface in such a competitive space. Considering this genre of Sims-likes has been on free fall since EA Games decided to sell itself to the dark side, it was kind of expected that this would happen. I wonder if people still playing the old Sims games will go to this one.
Modding is a thing that seems to be on the radar of the developers behind Paralives, because they understand that customizability is the driving force behind people playing games like this. It is crazy to see that people still do new mods for older entries in series like The Sims, but it shows that people still care about the legacy left behind by these games. This might also end up being the future of games like Paralives, and by adding this tools in the base game more people can access to what they need to empower their creativity.
