Playground Games has officially pulled back the curtain on the post-launch roadmap for Forza Horizon 6, revealing the complete vehicle lineups for both the Series 1 Horizon Playlist and the premium Car Pass. The announcement comes just as Ultimate Edition owners gain early access to the game’s virtual recreation of Japan, ahead of its wide global release on May 19.
The studio’s post-launch strategy relies heavily on the seasonal Horizon Playlist, a recurring live-service model designed to keep the community engaged through weekly challenges. Between May 21 and June 18, players can participate in specialized races, PR stunts, and photo challenges to accumulate points toward rare vehicle unlocks. Landmark rewards for this inaugural series include the highly anticipated 2008 Mazda Furai, which requires a 60-point milestone, alongside the 2010 Nissan 370Z at the 120-point mark. Regular weekly tier drops will also feature iconic Japanese performance models like the 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 and the 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR.
Simultaneously, the premium Car Pass will begin its weekly distribution schedule on launch day, promising a total of 30 digital vehicles over the course of its run. Playground Games confirmed the first four additions anchoring the calendar through early June. The rollout begins on May 19 with the 1990 Nissan #12 Skyline GT-R Group A track car, followed sequentially by the 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera, a heavily customized 1972 Datsun 240Z hill-climb variant, and the 2008 Honda Civic Type R FD2.
Beyond standard seasonal progression and paid downloadable content, veteran players will also receive immediate garage expansions via legacy rewards. The developers verified that Forza Horizon 6 will scan player profiles for history with prior franchise entries, automatically unlocking past cover cars such as the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray and the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS. These loyalty bonuses complement a revised campaign progression system that requires players to fully complete the seven-stamp Discover Japan Collection Journal before they can begin hunting for the hidden barn finds scattered across the open world.
