Despite still being in early access, the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 has already become a strong critical and commercial hit with the open world racer having made over a staggering $140 million in revenue as of right now. It’s recorded that yesterday, Forza Horizon 6 had a total of 178,000 players with currently the number hovering around 118,809 players with evidence showing that the game has already surpassed 1 million players.
A screenshot just shared by DayOne indicates that nearly 1.2 million players have purchased the pricier, premium edition of the game which costs a whopping $120, making the overall earnings at $140 million just from that.
And it’s obvious when the standard edition of Forza Horizon 6 actually comes out on May 19, the numbers will be far greater, making the premier arcade racer title a runaway success and one of the biggest hits of this year.
Forza Horizon 6 takes players to the exotic and breathtaking lands of Japan with a map that’s confirmed by the devs as their “most dense and vertical map yet.” The upcoming racer also feature the authentic Japanese car culture with a staggering 550 plus real world cars including “classics, featuring cutting-edge engine audio and updated steering animations with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation.” Players can explore and drive around a vivid and almost photorealistic version of Tokyo featuring everything that you can expect from one of the most unique and vibrant cities in the world, all throughout different seasons and all the changes and challenges they bring.
The Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 6 will cost $69.99 while the more expensive Premium Edition will include the game’s first two expansions, the game Car Pass, two “Car Packs”, a “VIP Membership”, and a Welcome Pack plus four days of early access period.
Forza Horizon 6 is speeding it’s way to the PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 19th and is expected to launch on the Playstation 5 later this year.
