The upcoming season 3 of Battlefield 6 is set to kick off from May 12 and the devs have released a new patch aimed to prep you for all of the huge contents that are coming including a new battle pass and a myriad of improvements and refinements to the game’s vehicles, core gameplay, netcode, gadgets and more. In terms of new contents, there’s the re-imagined version of the Golmud Railway map from Battlefield 4, which is set to be the biggest-ever map for Battlefield 6 with reworked assets and more.
There’s new contents for Battlefield Redsec too, with the multiplayer battle royale mode receiving a competitive Ranked mode that’ll let you compete for rank and leaderboard status while granting unique cosmetic rewards.
Another huge change for the upcoming season in Battlefield 6 is in the area of it’s vehicles ranging from the amount of damage they can take as well as how much they can dish out, improved repairing, updated regeneration for tanks and many more. Overall, if you currently find vehicle combat to be a bit lacking in EA’s flagship shooter, it’s safe to say that you’re going to love all the new changes in the vehicles scheduled for season 3.
The gadgets which include mines, the portable mortar, the Engineers Supply Crate, and the Hardware Suppression System, have also received balancing changes and other quality of life improvements. Plus, there’s changes to weapon recoil and new attachment options for shotguns and additional polish to the gunplay in general.
Then there’s the new Battle pass including Battlefield Pro which is a way to “expand the Battle Pass experience” in ways that are more rewarding than ever before. The perks for Battlefield Pro are a whopping 25 Tier Skips, a 5% XP Booster, six instant unlocks, special Assignments, extra Challenge rerolls, support for 100 players in Portal and more.
