Sonic Racing CrossWorlds got even weirder with a new trailer of the Kids’ Choice Awards. The game can be pre-bought on PC, but you have to understand that since this is Sega, it does have Denuvo on top of it. That means performance for PC users can be wonky, and the best way to play this one is to just wait for Sega to take Denuvo out of the equation. 2025 seems to be the year of extremely weird crossovers, from MTG just doing crosses with anything, and going as far as to saying their base universe does not matter, it feels as if the identity of franchises was slowly becoming irrelevant. We at Infinite Start will cover this weirdness.
Sonic Racing is getting the MTG treatment
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is going to be one hell of a ride to experience. The turbulence of this late stage societal system truly shows when culture just merges together with one another, forming an incomprehensible hodgepodge of unrelated characters for no reason other than maximizing profits. Crossovers are cool when they are pulled correctly, but this feels exaggerated and even ludicrous, there needs to be some sort of moderation for these things to work. Regardless, we all know very well that it will work, Sponge Bob is popular with pretty much every kid on the planet it seems.
At least I find some solace on the fact that the weird crossovers with the new Garou Mark of the Wolves game happened to be so unpopular that the game is currently bombing. If things go so wild, people will get tired, nobody expected to see literal Cristiano Ronaldo drop into one of the most awaited fighting games of the year. Crossovers are a double edged sword that need to be done with enough care as to respect the franchises represented.
