Replaced was this new cyberpunk game with very interesting aesthetic that I talked about before, and it has finally dropped on PC. People have been waiting for this one to release quite a while ago but it actually got caught up in a series of setbacks and delays to ensure that the quality was pristine. The people behind the development of Replaced genuinely cares that this game releases as good as it can to ensure people get what they deserve. A game that releases rushed will always remain a bad game, while one that keeps being taken care of with delays will remain something great.
Replaced is out
It took some years of development, like every project made with tons of passion, and hopefully there is some follow up game for it provided the game shows there’s a chance for this. I really want it to be successful cause the 2D HD style they have applied to the art really looks so good that it would be a shame this is just a lightning in the bottle that fades away with time. Yet I have to remain realistic, people don’t really pay much attention to games aside from what’s trendy at the moment.
This is a pervasive behavior that goes across many media, as it seems to be normalized to consume and move on rather than engage with what’s there. Things need to have a meaning, or at the very least a shred of intent to even be worth the time of people in the first place. Sadly I don’t think many people get this, and as they keep playing live service games they miss out on some amazing releases such as Replaced, which are quite hard to replicate. Games like this don’t come out constantly, which gives us more of a reason to appreciate them in the first place.
