Windrose is looking very good so far, clearly made in an engine similar to that of Palworld, but it also focuses on stealing the spotlight from Ubisoft’s attempts at making an online pirate game. As always, Pocket Pair seems to always focus on stealing what others make and barely reinventing it in the most budget way possible, almost as if they were asset flips. The company who always lives off others and even published an “AI” slop game, thankfully now they have considered that going for that trend does not work out and they will deny anyone who uses it.
Windrose will be huge
Currently in a early access phase, this game has all the chance of becoming a big hit on PC, however some people point out that we need to be careful about those who over promise, and while this does not look like that type of game its always good to be cautious. There has been many scams in the early access space, more famously enough was what happened with Ashes of Creation, an MMO that released on Early Access only to reveal that all the Kickstarter funds have been mismanaged and used for expensive food and gambling, however Windrose devs seem more trustworthy.
It is crazy that problems like this keep happening, but there’s people who still believe that Star Citizen will one day come out and be this huge game, despite being a millionaire scam that has been running for ages. Windrose does not feel in the same league at all, and I believe that it will become an actual game that people will play and forget about after some time. There’s so much content one can squeeze out of every game and the need to move quick does not allow us to fully enjoy them, so is the way games work these days, quick trends, quick cash.
