A Game About Digging a Hole

A Game about Digging A Hole dropped on PC, that’s the name

Terraria and Minecraft should be trembling. A Game About Digging a Hole has dropped on PC and its making the rounds. It is crazy to see that we have reached such a point that a game about this would be more successful than a triple A title. But after so many game flops provided by millionaire studios, people are getting tired and will go to anything. We at Infinite Start will cover the depth of this title.

We need to dig deeper

As the title implies, you actually just dig. Yes, that’s all, you dig a hole in the ground, and you can upgrade your tools to do so. It seems like sometimes the most simple ideas are the most appealing ones to players. But this is already too much, people seem to dig this title a lot for some reason. It is as if players yearned to go back the the mines or something, seems like distilling Minecraft gameplay to the core yielded some deep results.

With the amounts of indie titles that are coming out lately, many are surprised to have unearthed this little gem. Reviews are solid on the title, and many people expect more updates, it feels quite shallow for a 5 dollar experience. But the gameplay loop seems to be rather addicting, sending you into a deep spiral of digging and mining. There seems to be some magic to games that allow you to upgrade things, seeing numbers go up get people digging for more.

There seems to be no plans to port this one to other systems, but since PC has a deep catalogue of many indie titles along with “console exclusives”, there’s a reason why supply for hardware has bottomed out. In case you have tried it, tell us what you think about the title and if you dug up anything crazy in it.
