Every gamescom Opening Night 2024 Announcement

Earlier today gamescom 2024 started with its usual announcement filled opening night. This year announcements ranged from highly anticipated sequels, unexpected ports, and an overwhelming number of exciting trailers. To make it easier to keep up with the fun, we wanted to make a quick post covering everything announced.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

After weeks of rumors, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was finally confirmed for PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, that version will release Spring 2025, with the Xbox Series, and PC version set for Dec. 9.

Borderlands 4

Gearbox gave players a brief look at Borderlands 4. While no platforms were revealed, the trailer gives players a lot to speculate on as we move towards its 2025 release.

Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom gave players another look at Monster Hunter Wilds.

Marvel Rivals

Marvel confirmed Marvel Rivals will release on Dec. 6. Best of all, Marvel confirmed every character will be unlocked at launched, and beyond.

Dying Light: The Beast

Techland confirmed Dying Light isn’t dead, with the next entry in the franchise being Dying Light: The Beast. While no release date was given, the original protagonist, Kyle Crane, will be playable.

Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero

Bandai Namco released a new trailer highlighting the awesome potential fights in Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero.

Reanimal

Tarsier Studios, known for the first two Little Nightmare titles, is back with another horror experience, Reanimal.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Fan favorite Mai Shiranui was confirmed with a brief teaser. SNK also revealed Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will release on Apr. 24.

Street Fighter 6

Capcom gave players a brief look at what Fatal Fury legend, Terry Bogard brings to the streets. Expect him to join Street Fighter 6 on Sept. 24.

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact releases for Xbox on Nov. 20.

Mafia: The Old Country

The Mafia series will continue with Mafia: The Old Country. Expect more details sometime this Dec.

Bully

GTA+ subscribers now have access to fan favorite, Bully.

Mecha Break

Seasun Games gave players another look at their 6v6 mech battle game, Mecha Break. Xbox players will also have a closed beta on Aug. 25 through 27.

Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2‘s Early Access starts on Nov. 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Mac.

Batman: Arkham Shadow

The highly anticipated Batman Meta Quest 3 experience, Batman: Arkham Shadow, was given another gameplay teaser. Those up to the challenge will be able to save Gotham this Oct.

Starfield

Starfield‘s Shattered Space DLC will release on Sept. 30.

The First Berserker: Khazan

Nexon Games revealed The First Berserker: Khazan is set to release early 2025. Those who can’t wait can sign up for a technical test for PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series that will begin Oct. 11, and run through Oct. 20.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

A new trailer was released for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 centered on the Call of War. Expect the battle to begin on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on Sept. 9.

Little Nightmares III

While fans of the original Little Nightmares games have Reanimal to look forward to, Bandai Namco gave players another look at Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III. Following the reveal an expansive PlayStation Blog post was also released.

Persona 3 Reload

Atlas released a trailer for Persona 3 Reload‘s upcoming Episode Aigis that shows a familiar foe for players to overcome. Expect more on Sept. 10.

Dune: Awakening

Fans of the beloved Dune series were given their first look at Dune: Awakening‘s gameplay.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The “Most Wanted” campaign mission was revealed, which includes a taste of what players can expect from the later Call of Duty narrative.

Secret Level

Amazon revealed a teaser for their upcoming anthology series, Secret Level. Each episode will feature new, and beloved franchises. The series is set to release on Dec. 10.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Players were given another tease of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s gameplay. As previously revealed, it will release on Feb. 11, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Goal Simulator Remastered

Player favorite Goat Simulator is getting an unexpected remaster. This will allow players all kinds of zany fun, with a lot more power to further push the boundaries.

King of Meat

Amazongames revealed the outlandish co-op dungeon game, King of Meat. The outrageous premise, and unique look certainly gives it a unique vibe that will resonate with a number of players.

Arc Raiders

Players were given another look at Embark Studios, Arc Raiders. A play test is also set for this fall, with more details expected to be revealed soon.

No More Room in Hell 2

Torn Banner Studios gave players another look at their exciting sequel, No More Room in Hell 2. For those unaware, this is an intense co-op adventure that features permanent death against seemingly endless waves of zombies.

Infinity Nikki

Players were given another whimsical look at Infinity Nikki. Those who can’t wait can sign up for the play test, though PlayStation is unfortunately not included.
