Bethesda Looking into PlayStation Plus Subscribers Being Excluded from Free Fallout 4 Upgrade 34534

Bethesda Looking Into PlayStation Plus Subscribers Not Being Able to Upgrade Fallout 4 (Updated)

Earlier today Fallout 4 received its highly anticipated next-generation updates, but PlayStation Plus subscribers that previously redeemed Fallout 4 are reporting they’re not eligible for the upgrade.

This is something I can personally confirm, and was a very common concern leading up to release. While some wrote this off as an exception, it seems this might not actually be the case.

Among the various reports, ranging from an error on Sony’s side, or support saying it should be eligible, comes from Discord Moderator, and Customer Support Manager, Erysna with the following message.

PS5 Upgrade should be available for you if you OWN Fallout 4 on the PSN account. Still looking into this for the PS+ users!

While nothing is guaranteed right now, those interested might want to hold off to see if it’s made free in the future.

Update: Bethesda Game Studios confirmed PlayStation Plus Extra members will be able to download the PlayStation 5 version in the future. No word on the PlayStation Plus Essential version though.

Update 2: Several reports indicate PlayStation Plus Extra now works. Bethesda Support mentioned they “do not have any information regarding PS5 catalogue or PS+Essentials.”

In the mean time, Bethesda released their full patch notes for the latest version, which includes a number of exciting items.
