With E3 2023 set to happen June 11 through 16, several companies have finalized their plans with several major names confirming they will not be present.
Sometime back Sony and Nintendo both confirmed they would continue doing their own thing, with Microsoft surprisingly joining them. Yesterday, Ubisoft surprised players by confirming they will do UbiForward on June 12 at 10 am PST/1 pm EST instead.
Sources close to IGN have confirmed both Sega and Tencent will opt out of this year as well.
Now that several major names have opted out, concerns of the event even happening are rampant. There was a lot of speculation as to how E3 will change, either by embracing smaller developers, changing directions, to even outright cancelling the event.
At the time nothing is confirmed, though as more companies make their choice we will likely have a clearer idea of what to expect from the event.
