Octopath Traveler II announced for PlayStation, Switch, and PC

Square Enix announced Octopath Traveler II for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam today.

Octopath Traveler II features eight new characters, eight new abilities, a new story set in a different era, a brand new land, and more. Fans who enjoyed the first installment can look forward to the sequel on February 24, 2023.

Similar to the first Octopath game, eight new characters will have their own story to tell and eventually team up with one another for a common goal. Below are the new playable characters that will be in the game and their classes:

  • Hikari – a Warrior
  • Agnea – a Dancer
  • Partitio – a Merchant
  • Osvald – a Scholar
  • Throné – a Thief
  • Temenos – a Cleric
  • Ochette – a Hunter
  • Castti – an Apothecary

Some of the new features are a day/night cycle, further multiple path actions, and the return of the Break and Boost battle system.

Octopath Traveler II is available for pre-order now. Additionally, those who want the Collector’s Edition can pre-order it for $179.99.
