Tekken 8 seems to be going strong despite the wave of negative reviews, at the same time I wish this series could end, it has been overextending since the 4th game which happened to be the weirdest mainline game. A new trailer has dropped showcasing the fact that we will get Season 3 with some new stuff to look out for, back in the day additions to games like this were free or at least didn’t cost that much, now we have reverted to buying yet another definitive version of Street Fighter 2 for those who catch my drift.
Tekken 8 Season 3
Kunimitsu is back, for fans who have been playing her since Tekken 1, the traitor of the Manji Clan returns with some new moves and an amazing new look if I must say so. That’s not all however, Bob and Roger Jr. also make a comeback as part of the season pass, the roster gets more and more varied as time goes on but trying to balance all of this would be a very hard thing to do. With Harada having left Tekken in the hands of some other person, we have to wish the series goes in the right path.
Tekken 8 has been controversial since the beginning, the addition of microtransactions and many other issues such as quick content updates that didn’t give time for people to enjoy what they had before has harmed the game. Tekken 8 has that air of free to play game when you analyze it, long gone are the days of skillful match ups and properly learning the game. If we desire to return to those days, the best thing we can do it just playing the older entries, Tekken 3 still is a nostalgic title that everyone remembers and its also regarded as the best for a reason.
