It’s a well known fact at this point that if you’re on the consoles, the PS5 Pro offers the best possible level of visual fidelity that’s at least comparable to the more powerful PC platform and the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem is going to be another fitting example of this as the upcoming survival horror title is now confirmed to run on the console at full 4K resolution along with a locked 60 FPS silky smooth experience.
In a new post on the the Japanese PlayStation Blog, game director Akishi Nakanishi has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will run with full Ray Tracing at 4K resolution with 60 frames per second which is a visually sumptuous and easily the best experience of the upcoming game on any console out there.
And if your monitor supports higher refresh rates, you’ll be able to experience Resident Evil Requiem at a maximum of 120 FPS and according to Nakanishi, the PS5 Pro can output an average of 90 FPS in the game. Of course, you may not be getting any RT on those higher FPS in all probability, considering it may be too much for even the most powerful version of the Playstation out there.
Of course, as impressive as the overall visual experience of Resident Evil Requiem is set to be on the PS5 Pro, it’s not really comparable to what you can get on the PC platform as Requiem will run with full Path Tracing with all the bells and whistles currently possible which is easily leagues ahead of what any console can offer right now.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to arrive on February 27th, 2026 on all platforms and pre-orders for the upcoming survival horror title are also underway and doing so will get you access to multiple in-game bonus contents.
The standard edition of the game comes at $69.99 for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S while the Deluxe edition of Resident Evil Requiem costs $79.99 and includes five bonus costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, one audio pack and more in-game contents.
