Phase Zero

Phase Zero, a new Resident Evil inspired Indie coming to PC

Phase Zero is what real horror fans have been awaiting for so long. PC players will have the opportunity to revive some classic horror with a fixed camera perspective. It is clear that the game is deeply inspired by Resident Evil, which used the same exact graphical system display as this one. Back in the day, the PS1 was a limited system, and using pre-rendered imagery instead of fully 3D Environments was the best way to save space and processing power. Not to mention that these pre-rendered graphics are often beautiful pieces of art that make you remember the game. We at Infinite Start will cover this new horror experience.

Phase Zero coming soon to PC

There is still no proper date for when Phase Zero will come, but a new trailer has dropped with some very chilling gameplay. The trailer also mentions that a demo will be dropping soon on the Steam store, this will give us the opportunity to enjoy a new take on the fixed camera horror genre. With the passing of time, technology has evolved to allow people to do full 3D environments, Silent Hill was a late era PS1 title that managed to do this, with some fog tricks involved.

In this era of gaming, optimization is a must. If you want your games to reach the majority, you need to make use of tricks and other coding tactics to optimize your game so it can run on every system. Phase Zero will be able to run on pretty much everything, as it is clearly a game made with limitations in mind. Do not let that fool you however, this ain’t a PS1 game, but a PC game made to look like one, and they did an stunning job.

If you are interested on supporting the developers and wanting to scratch that itch for retro horror, wishlist this new title and await for the demo.
