Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 just got a new gameplay trailer highlighting several elements such as it’s huge central hub, character creation, one in-game mission and it’s new combat system so if you wanted to know just how the upcoming entry in the Action-RPG blend of Xenoverse series differs from it’s predecessors, you wouldn’t want to miss the new gameplay video. Check it out below:
Right from the get-go, the video gives a brief but effective outline of the overall gameplay flavor of Xenoverse 3 which lets you incorporate all the moves and abilities of your favorite Dragon Ball character in a myriad of ways and puts an interesting new spin on the usual Xenoverse mold that’s almost guaranteed to become a hit among the fans. The option to transform into any character from the anime and getting access to their complete moveset is something that’s really exciting and can open lots of interesting gameplay possibilities that will be totally unique in the series, so yes Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 does innovate on the earlier two games in refreshingly new ways.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the visuals which are significantly better than both earlier titles in the series along with a much more aesthetically pleasing art direction. Also, the in-game world titled ‘West City’ feels much more expansive than the earlier game hubs and even has a cool cyberpunk flair which makes sense considering Xenoverse 3 takes place in a faraway future, possibly the farthest we’ve ever seen the series get.
Then we get a detailed look at the combat in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 which will be the centerpiece of the game and is clearly way more fluid, kinetic and visually appealing. Overall the combat feels familiar to the earlier entries which is both accessible and satisfying, it’s safe to say that if you’ve enjoyed the combat in the earlier Xenoverse games, you’ll feel right at home in Xenoverse 3.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is expected to arrive for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam in next year.
