Apokerlypse is looking quite interesting, and it also got released for PC right now. Coming from the hands of Breaker Games, this company that seems Chinese has made other games before in 2023, but they are still fairly new in the indie market. A trailer has dropped showcasing what we can expect from this new game, and for fans of Balatro the concept of synergies is still there. There’s a free Story Mode demo you can play called “Hell is Empty, Demons are playing Apokerlypse” so if you are curious to see what this is all about without dropping cash in it, you should try it out.
Apokerlypse looks crazy
It has all the looks of a game that can take over streams and become popular, a ton of games often don’t meet such a fate, which is rather sad considering each piece has some effort behind provided people did everything. So many games often go unnoticed and they don’t reach anywhere, but as long as a small group of people actually care about what you did then I see it as a win regardless. Apokerlypse might end up falling in two categories, a game that blows up and takes over the internet for a while, or just another game that goes unnoticed.
Regardless of its fate, I thought it was neat enough to bring some attention to it, indie developers need all the eyes they can get on them so they can eventually profit of the hard work they have done. There’s a ton of games to play out there, and so little time to do so too, so its important that someone can bring more attention to these little gems that often go unnoticed. If you check the Steam store even years in the past, a ton of games have released, but very few got noticed.
