Blasphemous 2 is a rather divisive continuation, I definitely didn’t hear too much press behind it despite the first one being talked about left and right. When the first entry dropped on PC I was impacted by the beautiful pixel art that made practically all the game experience. It was wild to see a game with such an amount to detail by using a technique that some just consider archaic and unsustainable. Graphic realism apologists just had to ate their words thanks to this game, and the sequel proves to be more of the same. The best part is that this new DLC not only expands a lot, but its also free.
Blasphemous 2 gets bigger
It pretty much amounts to 1/4th of what the game already was, which is insane considering the game is also rather big. New bosses, new enemies, new prayers, you name it, this expansion has it all and it will keep you hooked for some more hours until you can discover all the secrets it hides. Perhaps it will help you get another ending in the future, provided another expansion comes out. I’m curious to see how things pan out for this one, its awesome that it is free.
Blasphemous 2 might not have been in the radar of many, and it is a shame cause it does fix a chunk of the grievances that the first entry had. That’s not to say the first entry was bad, on the contrary, Blasphemous was an amazing experience that allowed the world to enjoy bits of lore coming directly from Spanish culture, and they did it in such a way everyone felt it as something personal. The battles are amazing, the art is amazing, the voice acting too, its crazy how many things this indie franchise managed to do.
