The third season of Battlefield 6 is nearly upon us and will feature two new maps–Railway to Golmud and Cairo Bazar, with the former being a fully modernized version of the classic Battlefield 4 map named Golmud Railway with reworked areas and updated audio design. The Railway to Golmud map will also be approximately four times the size of the already huge Mirak Valley map, addressing longterm player demands for large, sprawling maps in an extremely satisfying way.
But beside the new maps, the upcoming season will also see a host of changes to vehicles in Battlefield 6 which will affect the amount of damage they can take as well as how much they can dish out plus many more. If you currently find vehicle combat to be a little lackluster in EA’s flagship shooter, it’s safe to say that you’re going to love all the new changes in the vehicles scheduled for season 3.
And regarding those changes, one of the developers in DICE has stated the following:
“Over the past months, we’ve been reviewing your feedback on vehicle performance across Battlefield Labs and the live game. While vehicles are broadly balanced from a statistical perspective, your feedback has made it clear that the moment-to-moment experience hasn’t always felt as satisfying as it should, particularly when it comes to how vehicle strengths and drawbacks play out in combat.”
He also added that the new changes and improvements will make the ensuing gameplay experience a lot more exciting and strategically rewarding which will do wonders for the overall replayability of Battlefield 6.
“Our goal is to give players the tools and confidence to take calculated risks, push objectives, and play a more active role on the battlefield when the situation calls for it, whether you’re on foot or pushing a control point in a tank.”
