Forza Horizon 6 is one of the most anticipated racing games, so anticipated that the PC community has decided that they should leak it, not only was the game leaked, but everyone is rushing to pirate it now. This is crazy considering that the game didn’t even release yet, and at the same time it makes sense since some people have managed to get their hands into some copies. Reviewers can sometimes leak stuff, but this time it seems that hackers were the ones that fault for the current issues, but if people weren’t going to buy it, they were going to get it for free anyways.
Forza Horizon 6 is out… kinda
Unofficially speaking, one can already play the game provided they search for the right terms, piracy is not something that should be praised, but considering how expensive games are nowadays a ton of people will be forced to pirate. However, I believe the only ethical way to do so is doing so before the game has accrued enough sales for it to be deemed successful. Regardless, piracy is an act frowned upon by many, and can have legal repercussions so I would recommend people to not partake in it, especially when it comes to releases that aren’t public yet.
Its crazy that this happened to Forza Horizon 6 out of all games, and people wonder if some hackers will go as far as to actually leak other games in a similar fashion. Some believe that if Grand Theft Auto 6 gets leaked, then gaming would probably suffer some big consequences from it, and while Forza Horizon 6 isn’t as hyped up as that game I feel like this issue highlights a matter of lack of security. I still believe the studio behind the game did the right thing, Denuvo would have actually harmed the game.
