Fable has been delayed, this was an expected situation by many PC gamers considering the track record of Peter Molyneux, infamous figure on the industry who tends to over promise and be too ambitious. Hopefully the expectation of people remains in check having all of the history behind this individual. There’s times when people should start doubting about if the game is even going to be a good game in the first place, but maybe this is the time they actually surprise us and bring the game of the year for 2027. We will soon know what’s up with Fable or if it even comes out.
Fable delayed to 2027
Maybe they are tweaking the game so it accommodates to the current hardware crisis, maybe they ran into unforeseen issues, there’s many things that could have happened. Of course it could be another case of Peter getting a little bit too ambitious so they have to delay the release date to do the features he wants. So far we really don’t have much information about it, but its definitely going to be a reboot of the franchise, perhaps with an entirely new game rather than a remake that copies the same framework of the original Xbox release.
I feel like Fable needs to do something new, something that surprises and ends up delivering on the promises of the past so we can finally close a chapter in a long standing controversy. Perhaps in 2027, we will get to finally experience Fable as it was meant to be rather than the sort of prototype with loose ideas that was the original game. Considering the current state of the industry however, maybe we should be wary and keep our hopes grounded, perhaps it never ends up coming out which would be the final blow on Peter Molyneux’s credibility.
