Rewilders: The Lost Spring looks like quite the promising PC game, there’s a ton of creatures to collect and the trailer showcased a whopping 19 minutes of gameplay with some cool tidbits of what we can expect to see in this new metroidvania. Yes, its a roguelite metroidvania and a creature collector in one, pulling an amazing combination of things and genres to make something new. However, the fact that this is a 3D game does not inspire me tons of trust on the metroidvania side of things as it looks like there will be less variety. Hopefully I’m proved wrong.
Rewilders: The Lost Spring coming soon
We have to keep in mind this game is made by a winner of the BAFTA awards, Herobeat might sound familiar for those who enjoy the world of small company games or even indie games, as they are the creators of Endling. This gives faith to many people looking for something cool to play, as the BAFTA isn’t handed down to someone random with nothing good to give to the medium, unless we speak about Triple A companies of course. Small games like this, and other indie games are pretty much what makes the industry remain healthy.
Rewilders: The Lost Spring will bring tons of creatures to collect and fight with, these are called Hântu and they have a wide array of different abilities and varied designs. The gameplay of Rewilders: The Lost Spring looks very different to the likes of things like Pokemon so its highly unlikely the greedy franchise will strike again with another case, especially since the one against Palworld wasn’t that solid. Regardless, I can hope this one ends up winning yet another BAFTA award, as it looks like something made with passion by people who cares about giving to the medium, rather than just making some quick bucks.
