Styx Blades of Greed

Styx Blades of Greed is out on PC, so fans of this series should be aware of this new entry in their favorite stealth and action game. The Styx series has been running for quite a while now starting with Of Orcs and Men, which is the first game setting up the universe where the Styx series happens. In that previous game we play as Orcs, meanwhile in the Styx series we play as Goblins, both factions often being at war between each other. While Of Orcs and Men is based on Action RPG, Styx is more centered around Stealth and Cunning planning.

Styx Blades of Greed tumbles down

This new intro is about to be quite a mixed one, made with Unreal Engine 5 the issues with performance are noticeable, the Styx series never really had these issues before. Styx Blades of Greed is quite the unexpected comeback since the series has been dormant for quite a while, but the release quality of the current release leaves much to be desired. Reviewers are already trying to bring attention to the issues in hope the team behind it fixes the game to make it the definitive Styx experience we all know and love.

Graphics are also not that great when it comes to the way they are made, and lighting effects are receiving some harsh criticism from some users, but some do feel valid because it does interrupt how gameplay works and understanding which areas are safe to hide in. I only played the first game, so I’m rather unsure if I should even get my hands on this one considering the current state of affairs. Maybe if they fix all of those glaring issues I can see myself giving it a try, Styx Blades of Greed looks quite welcoming for beginners to this series of games.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
