REPLACED has replaced the date of release for a new one, PC gamers will have to wait a while more to get to play this amazing new game. This is the first game of Sad Cat Studios, and for being a first game it already looks amazing, it is the type of thing you love to see in the small side of the industry. The team is technically an indie one, but since they are getting a publisher they don’t really count as an indie. While it is amazing to get games like REPLACED, which elevate the medium to new heights, we also need some true grassroots talent to keep the industry moving forward in these trying times.

REPLACED got delayed

If you were looking for something new to play and were hyped about this release, you will have to wait a while more. This is good because that means the game is guaranteed to be a hit piece, most of the time when a delay happens, it is better as if it never happened and the game ended up being a rush job. We have to cut some slack on the team because this is the first thing they are developing and they really want it to live up to the expectations of people and also their own. This denotes that this team really cares about making art.

REPLACED is a Sci-Fi Cinematic Adventure game crafted with tons of love as evidenced by the demo that you can still play, so if you were looking for some niche genre that barely gets love this is your call. If you were already playing the demo and want to let the developers know what you think about it, you can also contact them on the Steam forums for the game to let your opinion be known, be sure to wishlist the game too.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
