Black Hole Fishing

Black Hole Fishing is very curious and crazy to say the least, a new trailer has dropped showcasing the insanity of it all. Fishing in a black hole has to be one of the most crazy concepts I’ve seen in gaming and if the developers behind this game thought of that idea by themselves I have to give them big props for that. This new PC game is coming out very soon on April 7th of 2026, so get your fishing rod ready because we are going to catch some hideous mutant fishes that will scale up depending on the ways you play the game. Gosh, did I just say all of that? That’s crazy out of context.

Black Hole Fishing is coming

For those who are fans of games like Balatro, or pretty much anything that goes the way of “number go up” then this might be the type of game you were looking for. Indie developers always bring some amazing and creative concepts to the table and I’m surprised to see how creativity pretty much never ends. Art is wonderful because art is ourselves and a bit of our soul showcased in a project that ends up representing a bigger picture. For video games like Black Hole Fishing and others, it is the cumulative bits of soul imparted by every person involved.

I love video games because they allow me to get in touch with the vision of other people, the wholesome, the weird, and even the downright insane like this is what keeps the medium afloat. No matter how many companies try to push some narrative for live service games taking over, that are often met with an untimely demise like that of Concord, or how many try to push the humanities away from gaming, the true life blood of the industry is those who make games like Black Hole Fishing.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
