A New Dot Hack Game just got a teaser trailer, this is amazing news for fans of the game, whether it will come to PC or not still seems to be a mystery, but it would be very wrong to not put such an important game based around technology and drama in the PC platform. I genuinely never expected we would see the light of day again as fans of such a niche but influential series, it pretty much was the franchise that got ripped off by what people know as Sword Art Online, also known as SAO.
New Dot Hack Game is mysterious
Appealing to both old and new fans, the new Dot Hack game is clearly meant to attract the vast majority of players to get enough sales. This is done by keeping things familiar to those who have been following the series, while making it understandable for those dropping by. After many years of low quality and mind numbing releases from the other MMO franchise, SAO, it feels like Bandai Namco has realized people want the better one. I couldn’t be more excited to see this because there has already been multiple announcements I’m interested in.
I used to think that perhaps the day of good franchises were over, and that the only thing we would have is just derivatives that nobody really cared about, but Castlevania is coming back, Mega Man is coming back, and now a new Dot Hack game is also being made for a long time. And then you also tell me the game will tackle a problematic narrative of today’s world’s issues with the internet? Sign me up, or should I say .hack//SIGN me up for those who catch the reference. We still don’t know much about the project, but we can definitely assume its going to be a reboot that respects old fans while attracting new ones.
