Nioh 3 got an amazing new demo to try in 2026

Nioh 3

Nioh 3 just got a new demo, for those who have been wanting more samurai action the Nioh series always provided some crazy historical interpretations of ancient history. This new entry however has all the markings of a much bigger and better game, the original Nioh was rather clunky for many and it is often said that the sequel, Nioh 2, did much better than the first part. Nioh 3 on the other hand feels superior in every aspect to what we got in the past, much to the like of Dark Souls 3 this might be the definitive and potential the final entry of the Nioh series.

Nioh 3 got a demo

The demo is free to try and it will always remain up, more games should come with a demo so people can see if they wanna buy it or not. This new entry has the cool mechanic of giving you different styles such as the Ninja and Samurai style, similar to the stance system in the first game a system that really defined the series as a whole. Continue your battle against yokai in an expansive world that might be the biggest to date in the Nioh series, it is obvious that they drew inspiration from games like Elden Ring with the size.

Customization will also be an important aspect that will return, something that wasn’t really satisfactory in the first entry or even the second in my opinion having to deal with a set story character was an interesting thing however. Exploration will be a crucial part of the Nioh 3 experience, and for those who love expansive 3D worlds this is a game you shouldn’t give up on. The Nioh series always made me remember of Tenchu, and while Sekiro was meant to replace that series, Nioh feels like the proper replacement sans the stealth elements.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
