After the massive success of Battlefield 6 Open Beta weekend 1, developer DICE has laid out all the new changes and updates for the second weekend of the Beta along with it’s start timings. The Beta is set to kick off today, August 14, at 8am UTC (1am PT) and runs until Sunday, August 17, promising another round of spectacular Battlefield 6 gameplay for all players. But before you join the battle, check out all the adjustments DICE has made for weekend 2 including new playlists, custom search options and more.

DICE Wrote, “During Week 2, we’re delivering more variety and choice for how you’d like to play with more playlists rotating between multiple different game modes.”

“As an example, the All-Out Warfare playlist will include both Breakthrough, Conquest, and Rush. The in-game descriptions for each mode will tell you which modes are included in the rotation.

“Rotating through multiple modes within playlists helps us understand what our community enjoys as we shape the launch experience, and enables us to keep more fan-favorite modes available at the same time.”

DICE has also added Custom Search for weekend 2 that allows all players of Battlefield 6 to select their favorite combination of maps and modes.

“Based on your previous feedback and to give you more control over map and mode selection, we’re introducing a new feature called Custom Search,” DICE stated.

“This feature allows you to choose your favorite combinations of maps and modes. For example, if you want to play Conquest on Siege of Cairo, then matchmaking will prioritize putting you in a match with this combo, if available. Note that this is not a Server Browser (which is not being tested this week).

“During Open Beta, Custom Search will be available for Open Weapon mode playlists so you can mix and match maps and modes as you prefer.”

The devs have also listed Playlists overview during weekend 2 and they are as follows:

Day 1, Thursday 14th

  • Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
