Black Desert is free, it was about time that the company behind it decided to actually do what’s right and remove the paywall from the game. It won’t last for long however, as it will become paid again on July 10th, so make sure to grab it as soon as you can. Even if you don’t care about MMORPGs, filling up the library with more games seems to be a cool hobby that many Steam users, including myself, have in common. So many games acquired from sales or for free, but 0 minutes played in all of them, it truly is something. We at Infinite Start will cover this big deal.
Black Desert is free for now
Yes, it is a live service, yes, Stop Killing Games is having a massive outburst of popularity. If things go right, that might mean that Black Desert will have to be forced to give players the tools to host their own servers. This means that people will be able to play the game indefinitely, and that’s always a huge plus, there’s tons of things to be done in such a massive world like the one in Black Desert. We can only hope that the Stop Killing Games petition is successful, as it will bring lots of benefits to every gamer regardless of platform.
Someday, we will be able to play a version of this game that will be devoid of microtransactions, devoid of greed, and we can only hope that those times can come soon. If that does not happen, at least the game won’t close down on us and disappear, you can always get a win out of the petition provided you have signed it. For now, we have to be happy that the game is at least free, so better try to snag this deal while you can.
