Skyblivion Lead Comments on Oblivion Remaster

The game community is currently full of recent leaks strongly suggesting an imminent official remaster of the Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Adding his perspective to the discussion, the main developer of the ambitious project made by fans Skyblivion has publicly addressed rumors, reassuring fans that the potential release of an official remaster will not affect its long -term objectives.

Skyblivion, an effort driven by the passion that began in 2012, aims to recreate the entire oblivion within the motor of the scrolls Elder V: Skyrim Special Edition. Over the years, this monumental mod has become a new integral version, with dedicated volunteers reconstructing the landscapes, interiors, characters and Missions of Cyrodiil. The project is currently in its final stages, with a launch planned at some point in 2025.

To be clear this changes nothing for me. This always was a passion project and still is until the end.
For the community its a win-win as you get twice the amount of Oblivion this year😄
All love and no hate towards the people who made the official remaster❤️

— K Rebel🎮 (@Rebelzize) April 15, 2025

Rebelzize, the leader of the project for Skyblivion, went to the rumors of the swirl of an official remaster with a pragmatic and positive perspective. He unequivocally said that the news “does not change anything” for the Skyblivion team. Its commitment remains unwavering, since the project has always been fed by the passion and the desire to provide a revitalized forgetfulness experience to a new generation of players.

In addition, Rebelize sees the potential official remaster as a “win-win” situation for the Scrols Elder community. It suggests that having a officially remastered version and the Skyblivion made in a fan in the horizon will provide the players with two different ways of experiencing the classic beloved of 2006. This feeling echoes the thoughts of many fans who are excited about the possibility of visiting oblivion in different ways.

Recent reports indicate that remastered oblivion could be shadow since April 21, 2025, and can be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, potentially as a launch of day one on Xbox Game Pass. The leaked information suggests that the Remaster will have visual improvements, game settings, such as a modified resistance system and a revised archery, and all the original DLC content.

Despite the anticipation surrounding the official Reaster, the Skyblivion team remains focused on its 2025 release window. They have made significant progress, with a large part of the world of the game, missions and assets already completed. The team has constantly provided updates on its progress, showing the dedication and talent of the volunteer modders involved.

In conclusion, the main developer of Skyblivion has offered a reassuring perspective on the rumored remaster of oblivion. Instead of seeing it as a threat, they see it as a complementary launch that will finally benefit the Fan Scrolls base. Skyblivion continues its constant march towards its launch of 2025, promising a unique and ambitious reinvention of a classic title, while the official remaster offers a potentially more immediate form for players to visit Cyrodiil again with modern improvements. The next months are being perfected to be an exciting moment for fans of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
