Piece by Piece is a new PC indie game for those who are puzzle platformer professionals. There is a new demo that dropped, in 13 levels, experience plenty of new mechanics in a balanced and non rushed fashion. There is still no proper release date for this new indie title, but we can assume it will drop very soon. The cool part about this new game is the mechanics, and the fact that its a literal puzzle platformer. You have to connect pieces in a certain order to try and complete the levels. We at Infinite Start will cover this new indie hidden gem.
Piece by Piece, Step by Step
This new demo dropped on Steam Next Fest, and it went under the radar of many, it is also quite short to complete, around 20 minutes. Explore unique themes that introduce new mechanics to test your logic as you progress from one puzzle box to the next. Portals, mining, rotating pieces are just an example of what the game will bring. We can expect plenty of new mechanics when the game drops in its full glory.
Along regular levels that are just focused on a single mechanics that you will learn as you play, there’s hybrid ones. Hybrid levels consist of a mix of pieces, each with different mechanics and attributes to take into account. Knowing how to arrange these pieces is key and they often play part on if you will solve the puzzle or not. The demo has a nice difficulty curve to give you a taste of what’s to come, and it is quite worth it to play.
If you are a fan of puzzle games with a degree of difficulty in them, you might want to check out the demo out. If you really liked what you played and want more of it, we recommend you to wishlist this new title.
