Forza Horizon 5 Platinum Trophy Won't Be That Tough as Thought on PS5

Forza Horizon 5 Platinum Trophy Won’t Be That Tough as Thought on PS5

Forza Horizon 5 players who want to achieve the Platinum Trophy in Forza Horizon 5 can expect some positive news. Rather than unlocking all 165 trophies, players will have to earn just 53 of them from the base game for achieving the much-desired Platinum.

Forza Horizon 5’s PS5 Release Details

Initially released in 2021 on PC and Xbox, Forza Horizon 5 was widely acclaimed as among the greatest racing games of all time. Microsoft just made a bombshell announcement last week, earlier this year, that the game is coming to PS5, releasing on April 29, 2025. The game will be available in two editions:

  • Standard Edition – $60
  • Premium Edition – $100 (with 4-day early access)

Easier Platinum Trophy for PS5 Players

The Forza Horizon 5 PS5 trophy list has just been leaked by TrueTrophies, and it shows that in order to get the Platinum Trophy, one only needs to collect the first 53 trophies. The other 111 trophies are DLC expansions, such as Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, but they are not necessary to earn the Platinum.

To obtain the Platinum Trophy, players will need to obtain achievements such as:

  • Killing all 250 Bonus Boards
  • Winning 80 race events
  • Awarding Manufacturer Bonuses for a minimum of 25 cars

TrueTrophies puts the Platinum Trophy at approximately 40 hours to unlock—far shorter than if all 165 trophies needed to be unlocked.

Pre-Order Bonus and PS5 Pro Support

Microsoft has also announced pre-order bonuses for Forza Horizon 5 on the PS5. Pre-order customers will get:

  • Forzathon Points (in-game currency)
  • A free 2021 Mercedes-AMG ON

Additionally, Forza Horizon 5 will also support PS5 Pro, with Performance and Quality modes offering enhanced graphics to gamers on the enhanced console.

Forza Horizon 5 Mandatory Microsoft Account Requirement

The only downside for PS5 players is that Forza Horizon 5 will be mandatory to play using a Microsoft Account. Microsoft explained that it has done this in order to provide crossplay capability, although some PlayStation fans have complained about the imposition of such a requirement.

In spite of this, the title will be a huge hit on PS5, bringing an epic open-world racing experience to a new generation.
