Official confirmation from Treyarch Studios announced that Firing Range, perhaps the most iconic Call of Duty multiplayer map in the history of the franchise, is coming back to Black Ops 6 in Season 3. The legendary map comes back when the new season goes live on April 2, along with other multiplayer and Zombies content with March 27 reveal announcements for it.
Firing Range Returns in Black Ops 6
First seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Firing Range was a franchise mainstay in a series of games because of its symmetrical layout and quickplay. Black Ops 6 Season 3 will feature a remade version of the map, and new multiplayer modes such as Demolition and Sharpshooter, as reported via the PlayStation blog.
There has recently been a leak that hints four to six fresh multiplayer maps coming in Season 3 but doesn’t confirm there will be further remastered maps included. Treyarch must later release the entire list later season roadmap on March 27.
New Weapons and Free-to-Play Weekend
Aside from Firing Range, Black Ops 6 Season 3 will include Modern Warfare weapons such as:
- Kilo 141 – Available on logging in Call of Duty on April 2.
- HDR and CR-56 AMAX – Available from the Battle Pass.
Also, to celebrate April 3’s release of Warzone Season 3, Black Ops 6 will be free-to-play from April 2 to April 3. What this implies is new players can play the latest content as Warzone servers are under maintenance.
Warzone’s Biggest Update Yet
For Warzone gamers, the biggest thrill of Season 3 is the back-to-school return of Verdansk. The classic map has been completely reimagined by Beenox, featuring:
- 150-player match lobbies.
- The original announcer of Verdansk.
- Shooting in state-of-bliss free-fall mode.
- Quality-of-life updates.
With Black Ops 6 and Warzone getting major updates, Season 3 is poised to be one of the biggest content drops yet. Further details will be shared when the full roadmap is announced on March 27.
