How long does it take to beat Metroid Dread?

With so much time between the last Metroid title and Metroid Dread, fans of the long-running franchise are excited to play it. But, given the simplistic nature, many are concerned with the steep asking price, so we’re here to tell you how long does it take to beat Metroid Dread?

How long does it take to beat Metroid Dread?

Metroid Dread is rather similar to Metroid Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS. Metroid Dread has the same pacing of other 2D Metroid games and will likely take around 8-10 hours to beat.

How many levels are there?

On Samus’ journey to uncover the mystery of Planet ZDR, she has to go through eight levels that are as follows:

  1. Artaria
  2. Cataris
  3. Dairon
  4. Burenia
  5. Ferenia
  6. Ghavoran
  7. Elun
  8. Hanubia

Each of these levels takes about an hour to beat, with some bosses potentially taking 30 or more minutes to beat.

Upgrades

Completionists will have something to look forward to as Metroid Dread offers around 20 upgrades/powers that Samus can obtain. If you are looking forward to getting all twenty of them, below are the lists of upgrades:
