The pricing for Rockstar’s upcoming open world behemoth GTA 6 continues to mystify gamers and has become almost as intriguing as many other aspects of the game itself–with the recent jump of the industry from $70 to $80 for several titles, many even expect the newest entry in the legendary Grand Theft Auto franchise to charge a whopping $100. But now it seems like we finally have a rough estimation of the price Rockstar intends for their upcoming GTA 6 as a digital pricing has been sighted which lists the standard game at £89.99, a price that’s pretty much equivalent to $99.99.
This comes from a digital storefront called Loaded or formerly known as CD Keys which is popular for providing many PC titles in the form of attractive discounts, even at launch. And according to the site, GTA 6 sports a £89.99 price tag for the Xbox versions and a £60.99 tag for the PC release which is surprising cause there’s no official indication of the game available on the PC platform at launch or at least this year.
And the listed price is really high, even for a videogame that’s as ambitious as GTA 6 and coupled with the ‘suspicious’ PC listing, it’s better to take these information with a grain of salt.
However, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of GTA 6 costing a significant bit more when it arrives but it could also turn away lots of potential players in that case. Given the current state of the industry with the average hardware prices getting steeper year after year along with prices of games themselves bordering on a whopping $90, it’s doubtful whether GTA 6 could justify that high of a price. Also, games like GTA 6 cater to the largest demographic of players which means it’s not in their best interest to set a price that feels too high for the average gamer.
GTA 6 is slated to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
